Solartron Metrology
Solartron digital
transducers combine the benefit of high accuracy
measurement with the flexibility of an easy-to-use
Orbit digital interface. Using the integral Probe
Interface Electronics (PIE) connector, transducers
can be connected to PCs and PLCs via the network, or
directly to the Solartron Digital Readout. The
elegant simplicity of the concept means that 372
transducers can be simultaneously used on the same
system.

Orbit
All products that use our Digital Technology
share the same Orbit network interface and
simple 'plug & go' connection system. Orbit
is Solartron's simple solution to building
measurement systems without incurring the
high costs normally associated with bespoke
networks. To compliment our digital
transducers, Orbit support and software
includes: input / output modules, PC / PLC
interface electronics, digital readout
systems and PC software. |

measurement accuracy, a choice of stroke
length and direct immediate readout. It

Digital Probes
Three main versions of our digital gauging
probe (the Spring Push, Pneumatic Push and
the Feather Touch) are available. The Probe
is an absolute measuring device that
delivers accurate results when switched on,
regardless of any 'OFF' movements. |

Digital Mini Probes
The Solartron Digital Mini Probe is a
compact, low profile, transducer intended
for measurements in confined spaces such as
bores. |

Digital Lever Probes
Solartron's Digital Lever Probe has been
conceived for the precision measurement
market. This probe is ideally suited to
applications where the use of axial
measuring probes is not possible and where a
low tip force and a high number of probing
points are required. |

Digital Universal
Gauges
Solartron introduces a range of digital
Block Gauges for precision measurement of
cavities, internal diameters and for
applications where space is limited. The
Digital Block Gauge can be used in
conjunction with Linear Encoders and Digital
Probes on the same Orbit network. |

Digital Flexure
Gauges
The Solartron Flexure Gauge is our solution
to users wishing to perform consistently
high precision dimensional measurements with
a very high degree of repeatability. The
Universal Flexure Gauge is a compact,
frictionless parallelogram device that does
not suffer from the wear usually associated
with bearing systems. |

Digital Displacement
Transducers
Solartron Metrology has taken the proven
design of the Mach 1 and Optimum series of
transducers and added the ability to connect
to the Orbit Network. The new digital range
of displacement transducers can operate as
stand alone devices on the network or
combined with other orbit modules, such as
an Encoder Input Module, resulting in a
greater versatility in measurement
processes. |
