 Summit's 36" thru 50" precision engine
lathes combine the greatest combination of features available
for a lathe in this size range, setting a new standard for
machines in this class.The precision engine lathes have just the right amount
of engineering to afford simplicity of operation, coupled
with plain and simple rugged reliability. In addition, built
in safety features like the safety clutch in the apron that
kicks out the feed and the feed/threading safety interlock
eliminating the simultaneous engagement of the feed and
threading motion, place these machine in a performance field
of their own - unparalleled in performance.
Available in center distances from 80" to 400",
the 36" thru 50" precision engine
lathes have 38" to 52" swing over the
bed, 23" to 37" swing over the cross slide,
induction hardened and ground bedways on a fully ribbed
closed grain cast bed, 26" wide for added rigidity.
